Meeting with Valentine Lecêtre in her magnificient offices on Avenue Kléber, Paris.
A trio of young entrepreneurs, Valentine, her brother Julien and their friend, Jonathan, a graduate from HRD Antwerp, decided to launch a diamond jewellery line exclusively sold on the net.
Valentine has an impressive track record of success despite her youth: the creation of the “CARAT Fair” for jewellery designers, book publishing and recently the exhibition “Art Paris Art Fair” which took place at the Grand Palais last March.
To my question ” How was born Divinescence?”, Valentine answers:
We wanted to create a top level site which would simply the purchase of jewellery and diamonds. Our credo proved successful since within a year, our small company was profitable. Our main message to our clients is Trust which we summarize in one short line: The right jewellery.
Next to the traditional jewellery collections, we constantly renew our contemporary lines and we also offer loose stones in our ‘Diamond Bar’.
With the creation of this niche, our site leads in terms of prices.
Performance has enabled us to deliver our promise to our clients as we guarantee delivery of the jewellery piece within 2 weeks and even for a special creation.
Our bestseller is the solitaire ring Daria. If you visit our website, you will see videos of our jewellery which can be viewed from different angles.
Our line Haby is also very successful. We offer loose stones from 0.02 to 3 carats. They are accompanied by HRD, GIA & IGI certificates.
In terms of colours, our diamond selection ranges from G to H; and VSI Clarity.
Our clients can choose all gold colours: yellow, gold, grey, white and even black. Black is very fashionable and represents 30% of our sales. Platinum is also possible.
We pay particular attention to our luxurious packaging design. Jewellery boxes are black. When opened, the jewel is lit up by 3 leds.
Oops, I forgot the most important: All diamonds come from Antwerp!
